Pay only for the service you receive
When sellers accept transaction, we base the transaction fee on the value of all parts that are included in that transaction. If you find later that a part is not available for shipment or that a part is not in saleable condition, it is important that you report that fact so that we can base the transaction fee on the value of the parts you actually ship.

Here is how to make sure you pay a transaction fee
only for the parts you actually sell ...
  • When you receive a sell opportunity, open the transaction and click on the "download report" hyperlink to open the transaction as an Excel spreadsheet.
  • Sort the spreadsheet by bin location sequence and print a copy.
  • Use the spreadsheet as a check-sheet as someone walks the bins to verify that all of the parts are available for shipment, that they are in good condition, and that they are in factory packaging.
  • If a part is not available, the checker should note that on the spreadsheet.
  • If a part is available, but not in salable condition, the checker should note that as well.
  • Next, open the transaction on the CDP website and make changes based on the notes on the spreadsheet. Keep the spreadsheet; it will come in handy later.
  • If a part is not available, edit the quantity to zero on the transaction and update your DMS.
  • If a part is available but not in saleable condition, check the small "exclude" box to the left of the part number.
  • When you have finished editing the transaction, save your changes and, if you have excluded some parts, click the "exclude parts" button above the transaction detail listing.
  • Accept the transaction.
By following these steps, you ensure that the CDP transaction value matches the value of the parts you will ship. This, in turn, ensures that you don’t pay more than you should in transaction fees.

Now use the spreadsheet you saved to manually create parts invoice on your DMS by using the part numbers and quantities that are on the transaction.

Keep in mind that the buyer has the right to withhold payment for any parts deemed to be "non complying" and the right to deduct from your payment the transaction fee they pay to PartsVoice for those non complying parts.
